Leading technology company DJI has unveiled new firmware enhancements for two of its cutting-edge drones, the compact and lightweight Mini 4 Pro, and the feature-rich Air 3.
Enhanced Compatibility with DJI Goggles 3 The latest firmware updates for the Mini 4 Pro and Air 3 bring improved compatibility with DJI’s recently launched Goggles 3 video headset and the RC Motion 3 joystick remote controller. This means that users can now seamlessly integrate these drones with DJI’s latest goggles and motion-sensing remote controller, offering an immersive first-person view (FPV) and a more convenient flight experience.
It’s important to note, however, that certain features such as gimbal parameters, manual focus, and intelligent flight modes including SmartShots, Waypoint Flight, MasterShots, or QuickShots will not be available when using these drones with the goggles. Additionally, users will not have access to the Portrait mode on the Mini 4 Pro or the camera switching function on the Air 3 during FPV flight. Nevertheless, users can still capture single-shot 12MP photos and shoot videos in impressive 4K/60fps or 1080p/60fps resolution.
For the Mini 4 Pro, users can update the aircraft firmware to version v01.00.0400, while the DJI RC 2 remote controller firmware can be updated to version v02.02.0000. Likewise, for DJI RC-N2, firmware version v01.01.0300 is now available.
